Is this what you all wanted Toyota to do from the factory for the new Supra?
Lol did they swap the interior as well lol the entire car is a hard too z4
We waiting on 3jz tho
I own a mark 4 supra and to be fair I like the hew 1 a90 …sure the b58 is not in the 2jz world,but it's done a 1000 hp already.
Love the white color
2JZ-GTE
a b58 is notorious for being hard to tune and modify
2jz in 2021 , Toyota could have done something about this
good job !! if u drive Toyota this mean the engine must be from Toyota !! new Supra is just fucking Frankenstein with stupid engine from BMW . this is another proof that marketers have no scruples when they want to get as much money out of our pockets as possible!
It makes me so angry that Toyota cucked out and didn't use a 2JZ or an equivalent/better successor to it in the new Supra.
There is a 1jz and 2jz, im gonna wait for 3jz
Whos here from tiktok
Ummm, why would you NOT put a 2jz in a modern vehicle? Grow up, ultimate power with the ultimate chassis is obviously their' dream
Actually sounds pretty good
It’s a sad time we’re living in where we are the ones who have to put a supra engine in a supra.
That 30yr old engine is the king of the streets boiiiii!!!!
Why lol! You can get 800 out of the b58
"it doesnt make sense" … uh yes it does sir
2:10
Does not have to make sense to you … as you said, the 2JZ has proven itself and has a TON of aftermarket support, they know the motor can perform so the 2JZ swap made sense to them and it makes sense to me. Toyota supra badge with a 2JZ swap …
Yes it is inferior
What the 2020 Supra should’ve been
It makes total sense. Why throw in a 20 year old plus engine? Because that engine powers unicorns man. Its timeless. Most of us all know of its potential, and its ability to be worked, modded, customized and tuned. Not to mention, it becomes a true Japanese enthusiast car after the swap, Japanese chassis, Japanese engine. Just my opinion, but I really am disappointed that they chose the BMW engine. I mean it's a nice engine, and capable to a point, but still after all this time, I have yet to see that bmw engine make the insane numbers the 2j was capable of. I mean most of what I see, well a year after its release, people still have trouble reaching the 1k hp mark. Yea you can, but there are 2k hp + 2js. I don't think well see the bmw engine ever making that. But for the streets, 750 hp is a sweet spot, the BMW engine can definitely deliver that I know, but I mean its still a Japanese car, with a German engine. I mean you could just have well made a Japanese car, with an American engine, and sure it may run great, but in the end, the car loses its Japanese pedigree I really wish Toyota would have built an updated very of the 2j.
the engine is now where it belongs.
Looks like a mk5 shell over a fully custom frame that holds a 2j
