His description of himself and how he feels separated from the figure he has became to the world kind of sounds like that “thing” that a lot of musicians and performers talk about. For example Beyoncé’s Sasha Fierce, or When Jay-Z starts that mumbling thing before he steps into the booth, or Nicki Minaj’s Roman and her other “alter egos”. Daigo seems so innocent and he seems like a pure soul so hearing him describe that feeling of separation and listening to him elaborate on his journey from a third person point of view doesn’t seem as sinister as the way other people describe themselves. It actually made me think a little deeper hearing it coming from him. It’s so ironic his name is “the beast”. Of course, it comes from people calling him a beast in streetfighter, and I know it’s meaning when it’s being used in that context, but it just made me think about that term “the beast”. I’m not gonna go too deep but I’m not going to lie it made me think for a second as I’m a firm believer in the spiritual realm and things of that nature. Anyways; great video, you just got yourself a new subscriber! Daigo will forever be someone I look up to and admire when it comes to fighting games. Daigo is a true legend and pioneer of the fgc so if by chance you come across this; Thank you for all the great times and thank you for keep us all entertained through these years Mr. Umehara!!!!!
