The fact that he has zero Hololive is a shame

  2. より:

And then CR Cup offline happened.
Everyone got on stage with showmanship. The crowd is amazing. The emotions laid bare.

Waiting for the video my dude.

not looking good for the "I don't care about vtubers" holdouts in the fgc

  5. より:

We are getting closer to Jiyuna's vtuber debut

  6. より:

Daigo out there getting carried by vtubers, you love to see it.

  7. より:

esvan actually promoted FGs for a while after that influencer tournament.

  8. より:

Been watching these on and off, these are really fun and interesting new twist to the content. The one they had at TGS was such hype and silly, real tears and real feelings man! Good shit

Oh ya I usually refer to him when I have a question about vtubers.

Only barrier for modern control that it sometimes requires pressing assist button with another button during a combo to get a normal move. This is extremely difficult. They should make it easier. For example cammy punish bnb in controller: dh>assist+dh>sp

You make me wish more pros came to the masses and we're like, let's play and I'll teach ya something.

    Thanks for the vid.

Gawking the meat is the future of the fgc.

As some one who watched both CR cup and Evo TOP8,

CR cup is oddly more enjoyable to me, mainly because they are not FGC pros (aside from team captain), hence their level is usually closer to me than pros.
This CR cup was super close on most matches, I think the one that I enjoyed the less were the captain vs captain actually :D.

The thing is, when you put lower level player, seeing them suddenly do something they weren't expected to be able to pull off is oddly engaging.

The FGC pros: you basically watch who makes an error and who they get punished, (much more technical type of enjoyment)

The CR Cup matches: You enjoy when someone is able to make a really good decision and pull off the execution OR when both players drops combo or miss SA3 at the same time, because these kind of situation, never happens at high level.

The main issue though is I had to watch CR cup through basically 3 different stream at the same time at times to get different discussions etc…

Main issue though, it that for some of these player (Gear, Shaka, Karubi etc…) it's their 4th or 5th appearance in that kind of format, at some point, they might end up we everyone around the level of vice-captain, and the gap between the vanguard and the other matches is going to widen, which kind of removes the build up during watch time.

When is Jiyuna going to make a vtuber esports team? VtuberIlluminati

  17. より:

    At last Daigos made it.

  18. より:

Casual streamers playing fighing games get views, fgs are hype as hell for any audience. I don't know if there is a consistent pool of casual streamers you can get in the west, unlike all the people in JP

  19. より:

This FGC event/idea for a tournament is SO GOOD for so many reasons, I can't believe there aren't tons of westerns streamers/vtubers already doing it, it's literally genius, everybody wins, how is this still not a thing??

  20. より:

impressive zangief gameplay solely because of the fact that it might be the first time I've seen that Level 1 actually land lol

  21. より:

Someone get Nyanners on this shit

  22. より:

Ludwigs recent "best gamer smth smth award" had a sf6 part in it, right? Even though hes personally a smash fan. Idk why he chose sf6 over smash. Ease of use coz modern? Recency bias? In any case, if someone like him were to organize a bigger and pure sf6 tournament for "normies", we could really be cooking

This content is stale. Find a way to reinvent the wheel so we can be interested

  24. より:

Jp fgc just got so insanely much ahead of the western fgc. The game itself is too new, and there are these totally brand new culture developments, and somehow the jp community managed to use the opportunity and make it into something big. Looking at the viewcount on that screenshot in the video, it really feels like a gap comparable to the "mid 2010s turning esports fgc" vs "early 2000s fgc".

Can't wait for people to say the U.S. should do this too not realizing that Japan is 5% the size of America and is way easier to get people together for an event. Plus Vtubers are fucking weird.

  26. より:

Like you said real talk, it's about the journey, I watch one of the participants not being able to drive rush in bronze to grinding all the way to platinum on stream. Tournaments are their own kind of beast but we've been watching them for decades day in and out, this kind of content is incredibly refreshing.

  27. より:

crazy how many people were there in person, a stadium watching low-mid level gameplay. nutty stuff!

  28. より:

I feel like they have done this before with some popular streamers but its been tied to like a multi game competition in the west. The problem in the west with these types of varried streamers, is interest. Like you said at the end of the video what makes it work is they all like it and are interested in it, its not just pick up a pay check and thats it. It would be cool to watch people like Shylily vs hasan or something in a reject fight night or something. Would be pretty cool to see tbh. However is there a want or interest among those streamers.

  29. より:

Punk mashing that dislike button as hard as possible.

  30. より:

I wouldn't say Daigo was carried by them when the CR Cup comeback that he did with Dogura and Fuudo was really impressive and showed why he is the beast.
